Over the past few weeks I have spoken with more than 20 dealer group Directors, and it is very clear that there is a big divide between those dealer groups that have set out to make money and those that have decided to minimise losses. Interestingly, most have achieved what they set out to do.
It’s clear that there is a growing movement by consumers who are demanding a cleaner and ‘greener’ way of life. However, there are concerns amongst consumers that negatively impact sales of alternatively fuelled vehicles (AFV).
With Brexit looming and the uncertainty of what that will mean for the industry after 29 March, it’s fair to say that Q1 2019 has been like no other for UK automotive dealers.
